| Adoption Information In December of 1993, we decided to add to our family through adoption. We filled out the paperwork, sent it in, and in an amazing two weeks, we had a referral. The next 6 months were both wonderful and terrible. We fell in love with them immediately, yet they were a million miles away. There was nothing we could do but wait for the system in India to run its course. It was worth every minute.
In June of 2004 we left Anchorage for Mumbai. We spent a week in India, visiting with new friends and learning about the country where our boys were born. On July 2, we arrived back home and began our new adventure. She was absolutely fabulous and we would recommend them to everyone. They have recently opened their own orphanage in India to insure even better care for the children. We picked the boys up at Preet Mandir, which is located in Pune, Maharashtra, India preet@pn2.vsnl.net.in. The Director, Mr. Bhasim, was very cordial. I-child is a wonderful site for anyone interested in adopting from India. It is full or resources so that you can learn about the process, and individual reviews help you pick the best agency. |
